Carrapateena Mine is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade, and is a primary producer of copper concentrate.
In December 2021, Caledonia Group was awarded the opportunity to provide insulation and cladding on-site with OZ Minerals. With our client-focused approach, we were able to deliver the project safely and with significant cost efficiencies.
The project involved cladding water lines for a refrigeration plant chiller system designed to pump cold air underground. This was to reduce the temperature for miners working underground. The chilled water lines were cladded in Galvanised metal and the associated pipework was fabricated in Aluminium.
We successfully completed our work on Carrapateena Mine in 2022 and have secured other works in the mining sector.
